Many people ask me what they will actually find inside my Lisbon Travel Guide.
First of all, it is a digital guide. After purchase, you can keep it on your phone, tablet or laptop. It is practical, light and always with you while exploring the city.
I created this guide to help you have a smooth and enjoyable trip. Inside you will find useful information for the pre-travel stage, including where to stay, transportation tips, metro information, possible day trips, and important contacts. Having these basics clear will save you time and avoid unnecessary stress.
But travelling is more than logistics.
For me, it is very important that you understand what is truly a must see in Lisbon, but also what exists beyond that. The guide includes the main highlights, beautiful viewpoints, markets and iconic places, but also off-the-beaten-path spots that many visitors miss.
Context also matters. Lisbon is a city with deep history and strong identity. That is why I include cultural insights and interesting curiosities.
In the Handy Resources section, you will find essential Portuguese phrases to help you communicate, translations of the main monuments’ names, and what I personally consider one of the most valuable tools: several organised Google Maps lists by category. These include local restaurants, pastry shops, gardens, viewpoints and more. You can open them directly on your phone and use them during your trip.
