Located on Avenida de Roma, FrutasAlmeidas is an iconic place for many people from Lisbon.
It's a fruit shop, but also a small café where you can enjoy fresh fruit juices, good rissóis, croquetes, sandwiches and other Portuguese snacks.
But if there's one thing I always recommend, it's the strawberry cake, it's one of my favourite cakes ever.
It's simple, light and full of fresh strawberries.
Sometimes I stop by just to buy a slice to give to someone.
If you have time, sit down for a coffee and enjoy the atmosphere. It's a very Portuguese place, full of locals, and one of those places that has kept its identity over the years.
