If you're visiting Porto, here's a free Google Maps list with some of my favourite local restaurants.
In Portugal we call them tascas , small, unpretentious places with traditional food, good prices and mostly local people eating there.

This list is taken directly from my Porto digital guide. The full guide includes a PDF + several Google Maps lists organised by category: restaurants, cafés, viewpoints, hidden gems and top attractions. Everything is designed to be used on your phone while you're walking around the city.
I also have a Lisbon version.
Both guides together are €20. That's less than one dinner in most of these restaurants.
