Best Viewpoints in Lisbon (Free & Worth It)
Lisbon is a city built on hills, which means it has some amazing viewpoints.
If you're visiting, I really recommend checking out at least one or two of these spots. They're free, beautiful, and a great way to see the city from above.
Here are 7 of my favorite miradouros:
Miradouro da Nossa Senhora do Monte
One of the highest points in the city and, for me, the best view in Lisbon. You can see almost everything — the castle, river, bridge, and downtown.
Miradouro da Graça
About 10 minutes away from Senhora do Monte. Same great view, but with a kiosk where you can grab a drink.
Miradouro de Santo Amaro
Small and quiet, behind a chapel in Alcântara. Great view over the 25 de Abril Bridge and usually no crowds.
Miradouro do Monte Agudo
In the Anjos neighbourhood. It’s more local and not so well-known by tourists. Peaceful and with a great view over the eastern side of Lisbon.
Miradouro de Santa Luzia
One of the most famous — and yes, it can be crowded. But it’s worth a stop. Beautiful tilework and a classic view over Alfama and the river.
Miradouro de Santa Catarina (Adamastor)
Easy to miss, but has one of the best atmospheres. Good for sunset with a drink from the kiosk.
Miradouro do Torel
In a small romantic garden in the city centre. Quiet, green, and with a view over Avenida da Liberdade. A great place to relax.
