5 Desserts You’ll Find in Local Portuguese Restaurants
One of my favourite things is sitting down with friends at a traditional Portuguese tasca.
And since I have a sweet tooth, I never skip dessert with my coffee.
These are 5 desserts you’ll often find in local spots around Lisbon, homemade and full of flavour.

Which one is your favorite?

Arroz doce
Creamy rice pudding with cinnamon on top. A warm and comforting classic.

Pudim de ovos
Like a flan, made with eggs and caramel. Sweet, smooth, and rich.

Leite creme
Our version of crème brûlée, silky custard with a caramelised sugar top, often torched right before serving.

Farófias
Fluffy egg whites poached in milk and topped with egg cream. Light and nostalgic.

Baba de camelo
A thick, creamy dessert made with condensed milk and eggs. Sweet and very Portuguese.
