10 ROOFTOPS IN LISBON WITH INCREDIBLE VIEWS

10 ROOFTOPS IN LISBON WITH INCREDIBLE VIEWS

Lisbon is built on hills, so some of the best views are not only from the famous miradouros.
There are also rooftops hidden above hotels, restaurants and even old commercial buildings, with views over the castle, the river and the city's red rooftops.

Here are 10 that I think are really worth knowing.

1. RubyRosa
One of the least obvious rooftops in Baixa. It is hidden on the top floor of Lisbon Art Stay and has a speakeasy feel, good cocktails and panoramic views over the city.

2. Rossio Gastrobar
On top of the Altis Avenida, right beside Rossio. From here you can see Rossio Square, São Jorge Castle, Santa Justa and the river in the distance. One of my favourite central views.

3. Catch Me
A great option if you want a different side of Lisbon. The terrace looks towards the Tagus and the 25 de Abril Bridge, making it particularly good around sunset.

4. Javá
Located in Cais do Sodré, Javá combines a rooftop restaurant with wide views over the river and central Lisbon. A good choice for a late afternoon drink or dinner.

5. Terraço Editorial
Hidden on the top floor of the Pollux building in Baixa. You can see Santa Justa, the Carmo ruins, the Tagus and several of Lisbon's hills. It still feels surprisingly unknown considering the location.

6. Ferroviário
One of Lisbon's classic rooftops, above Santa Apolónia. It has a large terrace, music and an open view over the Tagus. The atmosphere is more relaxed than many hotel rooftops.

7. Rooftop Bar Mundial
One of the best choices for a classic Lisbon panorama. From the top of Hotel Mundial you can see São Jorge Castle, Baixa, the Tagus and several of the city's hills.

8. Lumi Rooftop
On top of The Lumiares in Bairro Alto. The terrace looks across Lisbon's rooftops towards the Tagus and is a good option if you want something calmer and more elegant.

9. SEEN Sky Bar
On the ninth floor of the Tivoli Avenida Liberdade. It is one of the more sophisticated options on the list, with panoramic views stretching towards the Tagus and São Jorge Castle.

10. ATTIKO Lisbon
One of the newer rooftops in Lisbon, on top of the ME Lisbon hotel. It has panoramic views over Avenida da Liberdade, Marquês de Pombal, Parque Eduardo VII, the castle and the Tagus.

Of course, there are many more rooftops in Lisbon, but I like this list because the views are quite different from one another.
Some are perfect for sunset, others for dinner, and a few are still easy to miss even if you have visited Lisbon before.

Which one would you add?
