About the creator
I'm João André Lopes, a Lisbon local with a background in philosophy and over 10 years working in tourism.
During this time, I saw how many visitors miss the real Lisbon, the local cafés, the old streets, the small restaurants that actually tell the story of the city.
So I decided to create Lisboa Guide, a digital guide to help travellers experience Portugal in a more local way.
It started with Lisbon. I rewrote it three times until I got it right. After hundreds of downloads and great feedback, I also made one for Porto.
Both guides include a PDF with my personal tips (where to go, eat, and what to avoid), plus several Google Maps lists to make exploring easier: cafés & pastry shops, rooftops, local restaurants, viewpoints, gardens & hidden gems.
